    Coolant system flushing

Hi all, and Happy New Year!

The engine on my Stag is the later type without coolant drain taps. I've removed the radiator and flushed it thoroughly, and replaced hoses where I deemed necessary, but since the coolant inlet and outlet are high up on the engine, I am wondering how I can effectively flush out the engine block. Any advice here would be very welcome!

    Regards,

    Hi, Bob,

You may have the later block, but I believe (and am ready to be proved wrong) that they are all drilled and tapped. The later ones merely have removable plugs instead of the taps. When the plugs are removed it is often the case that the holes are sealed with scale and have to be poked out with a sharp tool.

    Regards,
