Can anyone please advise how much movement there should be on the vacuum advance system. Sucking on the pipe I can't get movement even using the hoover still no movement. The spring seems particularly heavy in the end of the cone. Any help as always much appreciated. Mike

Despite it being over 12 mths ago, I strongly advise you to take it up with Rimmers as they should put it right and may relsih the opportunity of good customer relations as they say they are so good about. Explain that you have had a tuning problem for months and that it has now been identified
Take it up with them and you may highlight a fault or maybe old stock that other members may buy
Go on, you know you want too. I got them to change my diff and pay for it after it was 15 months old and after 4 diffs I am pleased. I wont explain what I found, but lets just say they wanted to commercially resolve the problem

Mike J wrote:Thank you Andrew it must be a split diaphram. I can't get it to move at all. Strange as the unit is only 14 months old from Rimmers. I'll order one today. I'll need to reset the timing afterwards I presume.Martin.
