It's not mentioned in the Handbook, so where do our intrepid members recommend attaching a tow-rope to rescue a disabled Stag? Hopefully not more than a short distance, but in an emergency, maybe further, without forciblydismembering the bodywork?
If it's automatic it has to be reversed towed, preferably so the rear wheels are off the ground. A couple of miles is the limit otherwise.
Ours was towed to a mechanics at the end of road and we did find somewhere to attach the rope under the engine (not sure exactly where). It is worth taking off the front number plate as this could get pulled off by the rope.
