Green stuff pads

Hi there

Anyone know which way round the green stuff brake pads go?

No meaningful instructions supplied!

The pads have a black pad on the back of them (either to angle the pads or to improve anti-squeal) but they are only on one half of the pad.

Do the pads face forward or backward?:?

Hi Neil

The black pad would be to the top edge of the pad when viewed in the direction of rotation - i.e. if you are looking at the OS caliper the black pad would be nearest the top of the caliper- this allows the pad to be applied "front edge first" which helps prevent the squeal which starts on the back edge of the pad.....

Thanks for that. I had come to that conclusion because it seems that its only possible to put them in one way - although not conclusively!
