    Lumenition Electronic Ignition

I am a bit of a duffer when it comes to electronics, but I made the mistake of fitting a new car radio last weekend. At one point I blew the line fuse in the radio, but replaced it and it is OK. In fact the radio sounds great.....

Trouble is, now the ruddy car won't start! It turns over OK - lights and all other electrics fine - windows, heated seats (joke) all OK.

Is it possible I have blown the electronic ignition somehow? There is no spark at all, but there does seem to be 12v coming up the red wire supplying the ignition box.

All fuses in the fuse box are good - having looked under the parcel shelf I am not 100% convinced that the ignition cables actually go through the fuse box.

    HELP!

    Hi Dave
Trace the Red and Brown wires back from the lumenition unit, there may be an inline fuse blown, the wiring is on the following link:

There is also a small section on fault finding.

    Good luck

      Thanks Steve

Traced back the wiring a suggested and found a tiny toggle switch near the steering column which I must have knocked with some part of my anatomy. A previous owner had obviously used it as a security feature.

      Flicked the switch and "bingo".

      Cheers
