Carb Overflowing!

Hi ,
Looking for a bit of advice please.
I have removed the carbs and cleaned out the float chambers and replaced the float valve in each.
Having replaced and primed them I discovered the left carb overflowing.

Any ideas what I might have missed before I take it all apart again?

Hi Ken

Stating the obvious but sounds likeit could be yourneedle valve sticking.I had trouble with my last stag in this department it was all down to a rusting fuel tank where rust particles would find there way down to the float bowls and make one ofthe needle valves stick.

You could try draining it and blowing air through - you might have to repeat two or three times before the crud dislodges but it worked for me recently.

Did you put the floats on the right way up. Easy to get them wrong, and are they adjusted correctly.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I had to clean the carbs because of the rust coming from the tank.
I have had the tank reconditioned and last night was to be the grand restart

I think the only answer is to remove and check the carbs again - I suppose it is all good practise !

I will update once I have done this (unless I had done something completely stupid !)

OK panic over,thanks.
Checked needle valve and fiddled with float - everything seems ok.
Engine running,now for the diff oil seal etc !!!
