Tracing Car History

Hi,

Have just joined the club and in the process of buying a car. There is very little history available and would be interested to know if anyone would have any knowledge of the vehicle. Reg is YLO 611S, originally white, and was first registered 1/4/'78.

Have dipped into a few topics on the forum and love the banter between everyone, along with the enthusiam with which the topics are addressed and the helpfullness with which information is imparted. Keep up the good work, but am the old fashioned type, and hence would be disappointed ifthe hardcopy mag was discontinued.

- sorry do not know your car but someone might well do. Should not worry about the mag - I do not think (hope) it will disappear.

Hiya, welcome to the Stag owners comfort zone.

If you go onto the DVLA website, you will find a section which allows you to get the names andaddressesof all the previous owners. Also, if you go to the Heritage people at Gaydon, you can get a heritage certificate showing the factory details for your car, both are well worth doing. Cheers, Martin.

Know of it. Have offices in Leopardstown so over frequently. Spent 5 years (on a weekly basis) building a global datacentre in Park West & City West. stayed in the Fitzwilliam on St Stephens Green.

Ha, mad house indeed, but love the sense of humour that accompanies it...

Very easy, I would think, to get addicted to going through all the threads. They will be entertaining/interesting until the day that it is my turn to have the relevant problem!!!Doubt I will be too happy then , still it is really encouraging to see the amount of help being offered by everyone.

Yeah, Leopardstown is only just down the road. Nice one staying in the FitzWilliam,coolpart of the city, bit of a trek out to City West though.

Did you ever get a chance to meet up with anyone from the TCOC while you were here?

Unfortunately no, was always too busy. The closest I got was meeting with the guys who I believe did a run round Ireland in their classic & vintage cars.
