    lack of Stags in Cornwall

    Hi All

Been for afamily holiday in Cornwall for the past week. Weather SUPERB

We were staying on a farm near Wadebridge. The only Triumph I saw all week was a Java Green Stag at Daymer Bay Beach on Tuesday/Wednesday ish. Anybody on here? Apart from that there were a few MG's and a Froyeye out and about. Considering the weather where were all the Stags, Spitfires etc?:shock:

We had such a good time that we have rebooked at the same farm for next year. I aim to take our Stag next time so I had better get my finger out and get the bloody thing reassembled:?

There are plenty of them about down here but of coursethe climate isso wet that using them is not often a very good idea. Unless you like repairing constant rot of course.

You should move to Devon John---It NEVER rains here

What part of Cornwall are you in?

About 4 miles east of Liskeard just outside of the village of Menheniot. This is where I produce all the Triumph DVD's from which is partly why they cost so much to produce - all the travelling and hotels that are required.

Yes, I'm sure it's a bit dryer in Devon as Cornwall tends to get the brunt of the weather. I've hardly taken the car out this Summer - one filming trip of about a thousand miles and then a 200 mile round-trip jaunt to the North coast of Devon (and it rained then too!).

I plan to get along to the Triumph South-West meet next Sunday (Trerulefoot roundabout at Route 108 restaurant, or whatever it's called) so if anyone else is coming I'll hopefully see you there. It's only about 15 miles inside Cornwall so may not be too far for some of you in Devon.

I could be mistaken John but I don't think any 'Cornish' Stags have ever attended one of these (normally 4 or 5 from Devon though)----maybe you could summon some interest

I did bump into a batch of SOC members at the recent Boconnoc show. I'll see if I can find them on the web.

Thats as maybe but the weather in Cornwall on Wednesday to Saturday was WALL to WALL sunshine. If people don't use their old cars on days like that then they never will.

                  Bruce,

You have to remember that just because we live in Cornwall, it does not mean that we are all on holiday all the time..!!, we have to work as well:X:X..!!

(....but how I wish we didn't have to...!!

Glad you had a good time!

Yes, the weather has been outstanding the past five days. I've used it to get all the jobs done to the cars that should have been done months ago. Waxoyl's bloomin' horrible stuff... even got it in my ears!

See you all on Sunday then?

My Stag has just moved to Cornwall so at least one more to add to the count. The BT engineer who sorted my phone out said he thought their was one near to me that had just been restored and was about to be taken out on the road for the first time, anyone on here?

The following link should take any interested party to the 'Sad Stags' thread. I hadn't seen it before.

But I've seen Stags in a worse state than that. The Straw Dogs car for one but it's still loved by its owner.
