Choke Cable

Hi Everyone

I'm just installing the new dash into my Stag and found that my car has a choke cable with the know permanently attached - so I had to withdraw the whole cable to get the centre console off! My question does anyone know where I can get a "reasonably" priced cable and removal knob? I have seen Rimmer Bros but thought £55 was a bit steep!

Alan, I got one recently from Tony Hart, £44 agreed not cheap but a bit cheaper. Knob is removeable.

Can't you thread you old one back down the outers. Also other people have been successful in replacing the cables with bike brake cables. requires drilling out the spot where the cables are crimped in and then soldering the new ones in.

They often come up on ebay, one offered at the moment from one of the regular breakers 230173005426,iguess it depends whether you want a new one or a suitably aged one to blend in with existing controls.

Cheers for the info ... since I'm building a new dash - £44 is not a lot for a new cable and shiny new choke knob ... but it'll make the rest look a bit old now - so I may as well get a whole new set!
