Removing and fitting the headlights

I'm currently having a touch of body work done

ButI seem to have a problem with the headlights when removing and refitting them, they are a very tight fit and scratch the the paint on the bottom panel, has anyone come across this problem if so how did you manage to get round it asI don't want to damage my newfresh paint when I get her back

I put masking tape on the bottom panel and worked very slowly. Once they were in the tape was removed :dude:

That's brilliant, we should start collecting bits and pieces like that for a book, "A Rough Guide To The Stag",

I think there must be hundreds of simpletips like thatout there that can only be learned by experience. My tuppence worth, you don't have to move bits to get the alternator out underneath, remove the bolt holding the front water pipe, move it aside and take it out from above. Any more ? Martin.

You don't have to lower the Power Steering Assembly to fit a new Belt.
