      1049cc and 85 Bhp...although I had mineon a rolling road shootout at the time and it did 99 Bhp, more than a few Ford RS Turbo's did in reality at the same event, much to their embarassment

        Defo a Yugo OMG:shock:

        Had to edit missed the full awful truth by 5 minutes

        i should type faster

        cant talk had a morry marina coupe back in the 80's NOT

        i remeber these as a mate used to Cab for a living and used a Yugo it went round the clock twice:shock: and no bull i used to service the horrible thing:shock:

          Cheeky! Its not a Yugo, its a Lancia, or Autobianchi on the continent in some area's.

            Apologise for the missprint, my objective in writing the article was to highlight the low/high compression piston avaliablity/qualities. My car is fitted with the low compression, I intend to fit the high compressionones over the Winter, out of curiousitywhat type of Weber have you fitted ? thecar with thetwin choke performed disappointingly on the day.

                    Correct me if I am wrong but I always thought UK & rest of world cars had HC pistons and 147BHP and the US got LC and 125BHP?

                      I have a Weber 1404 4 barrel carb.
                      ZF 4 spd box, Datsun shafts, SS exhaust, 38DGMS weber 158.9bhp, BMW MC Tomcat seatssigpic

                        I think the issue is that the HC pistons have been unavailable for some time, so many rebuilds have been done with flat tops.
