Hello All,

I have just joined the SOC having admired Stags for many years.

My Dad had one when I was a teenager and I helped (he may not agree) him look after it. It was a white manual JRD824P, possibly a car known on here?

Anyway I am looking to buy a manual Stag in the near future, a late MK2 would be my preference. I will post some photos when I get it.

Is there a regular meeting in the Oxford area at all?

Sorry to inform you that JRD824P has been unlicensed since 19/10/2001 according to the DVLA. Unless it is hiding in a barn somewhere, I guess it is no more .

As for meetings in Oxford, check out the club magazine. The contact details of your Area Coordinator will be in there along with any local events.

Some very knowledgeable and friendlypeopleon here but they're all colour blind. You'll be very happy with a lovely British Racing or Brooklands Green..Classic British colours

Stand out from the crowd and go for a nice bright Signal Red, none of these wishy washy colours:shock::P

Mine was unlicenced since 1989 whilst being stored by the PO and then restored by me, finally back on the road this year - so your Dad's stag maybe around still...
