UV Dye and oil leak - found

Bought some UV dye fluid for detecting oil leaks and added it to the oil. Seems I have oil creeping out of the tube that connects to the back of the drivers side rocker cover. I thought maybe my engine builder had forgotten a jubilee clip to fasten the pipe, but having looked at various pictures of Stag engines, none have a clip, the pipes just slide on and stay.

So my train of thought is, maybe there is no clip, because a tight seal is not needed, because oil should not be creeping out of that pipe.....

Any thoughts?

BTW, I can highly recommend the UV dye, I've never ever spotted oil creeping out of the pipe, only possible to see the layer of oil with the dye, in plain daylight it looks clear.

Hiya Dan, that's the crankcase breather, it's very likely there will be an oil mist which condenses on entering the wire filter the pipe goes into, nothing amiss if you can't see it with the naked eye. Martin.
