    There are a couple of V8 TR6's about - one or twoin kent that I think will be on show again at Bromley next summer.

      This car has changed hands several times recently (it's been on ebay). As I understand it Richard Lane is no longer involved with Stags after some personal problems.

        Ron, I am in the middle of fitting a 5.7L Chevy LS1 to my 77 auto Stag. From my research there are a number of the small block chevy (heavy iron block) conversions around but I am yet to find an LS1 conversion anywhere in the world so mine might be the first!

        Ifitted a BMW LSD. There is no way the standard Stag diff will survive. Also fitted four wheel disc brakes and a beefed up Turbo 700 automatic box. Have 17 inch wheels with 215x17x45 tyres and I am aiming to keep the exterior standard with no bonnet bulge and no flared wheel arches or spoilers. I will post pics when its done. Spin.

          My Chevy 283-engined Stag has a two-speed automatic Powerglide 'box. It's actually pretty awful.. but it's "authentic" for the engine.

          The 350 I have (that's in bits now.. *cough*) had a TH400 (same as XJS) but the conversion kit also bolts right up to a slightly more modern 700R4 (four-speed auto w/overdrive). Now all I've got to do is work out how to make it fit in the transmission tunnel!

            You’ve managed to get some super pictures of Andrew Lovesey’s Chevy powered Stag.                 I'll bet you go banger racing as well ! ! ! You're either 17 or a vandal, two classic greats and you're going to ruin them, why not just buy what you want and leave these classics alone. Martin.
