Hi from new member in Cornwall

Just like to say hi as a newbie to this forum and a recent convert to stag ownership.

This one being a 1977 MKII in russet brown. Really pleased so far no real horrors.

It's gone in this week to have the brakes reconned. New front clipers etc, as was pulling to the right.Only to find the system wouldn't bleed as the flexy hoses had degraded internally.

Also having the two exhaust silencers replaced as the baffles have collapsed producinga soundsimilar toa Coke can full of marbles especially when idling..

All being well should have it back for the weekend so it's bound to rain..

Welcome Andy, best place for a Stag owner to spend time ! Make sure your bod fits stainless braided hoses, not much dearer and last a lot longer, not to mention giving you a firmer pedal. Enjoy. Martin.

Glad to see another Russett Brown one on the forum, its a colour people seem to like to slag off but I have always liked it on the Stag, gives it class in my opinion.

Many thanks to you all for the warm welcome and advice, much appreciated.

I was going to take Jer's advice and pop down to homebase for a couple of gallons of yellow emulsion and a stiff brush but I have to say I aggree with Martin and Brian. A well polished Stag in Russet looks the dog's privates..

What ever the colour that sound from the twin tail pipes has to be one of the best points
