Can't fault you mate, that's what your hallway is for is'nt it??.

Tell me this, is there a template that can be bought to allow you to mask and spray the black bit's on the diamond cut wheels. Tried masking mine yesterday, but gave up in the end, just have not got the patience

This might sound daft, but what do you mean, by over the rim, and what type of masking tape do you use,

Mike, I agree, masking seemedvery hard work, ended up in filling mine by hand with a liner brush, one hour per wheel at least and that's just primer. Three wheels down one more to go (havent got a spare yet), then on to the top coat!

              John

I might give the masking tape and scalpel a go now though.

                    Mike,

Halfords. Standardpaint spray cans, and the brush. I have to decant the spray a tablespoon at a timeinto a container, any more can get messy, the force of the aerosol blasts what you've accumulated out of the container all over you, but its surprising how far that tablespoon will go, and no over spray, just a steady hand!

I'm hoping to colour match my infill panels to my shell colour, just to be different. I've seen it done on other Stags and liked what I saw.

John how is it for brush marks, tried to do my spare 2 x days ago and ended up looking like ****e. Lucky it was the spare from the boot or else I would have been gutted. It looks like your motor is the same colour as mine Carmine Red I think it is

Many years ago, someone in the trade suggested using smear of grease to mask small areas, then wash the grease off. Anyone tried it?

I've heared that one as well but have never tried it, you'ld have to be so very careful doing it I would imagine.!!!!!!!

hi I use some vasaline on all the silver alloy bits then spray the black bits then wipe away the vasaline with some thinners on a cloth saves ages masking.you can also brush washing up liquid on the tyres to prevent overspray getting on them and it washes off easily after

                            cheers grahame

                              Rover's nightfire red, I hope.

All in all I think Bruce's solution might save all this agro. Might try the airing cupboard, do you think she'd notice?
