ROM Servicing

In the ROM you will see a chart stating which servicing jobs should be carried out by mileage or months, it states that the carburetters should be overhauled every 24000 miles!

Does anyone actually do this? Is it a must do job? and apart from the adjustment tool are there any other 'special' tools require?

I'm only asking as my recently purchased stag has no history of this being done and as it is raining I could get them off and strip them!

Still raining Stuart? Eeee it's lovely up North today. Know what you mean though, take the week off to do some real work and it pees down.

If your Stag is runninggood leave well alone!. If you want to do some basicstuff on the carbs, just change the diaphrams and clean the pistons(make sure you use new and not NOS diaphrams as rubber perishes).Fit a new fuel filter check fuel hosesand thats it!!
