Mike, removing/Fitting a complete hood to a car is not difficult and takes 1 to 2 hours.

Remove rear seat base, remove cubby panels (thesideones withpockets). Disconnect the hood springs (2 each side)behing the cubby panels.

Locate the three bolts, at the base of the B-post each side, which attach the hood frame to the body, and remove these.

Get help to lift out the hood complete.

Fitting is reverse procedure, but there are some adjustments to do to locate the hood correctly.

Hi. Do these companies also supply and fit the frames or is it purely the mohair hood. My hood is a bit rough but the frame needs a complete overhaul.
Angus, southeast rimming will post a new hood fitted to a recon frame to you, then post your old frame back to him!

I don't think they have a website - they do advertise each month in the Club Magazine with prices etc.

          You can phone them though:

Stag Stan,I see you have an Automatic with BW65, could you tell me if you have any snatching problems once the car has reached normal temp. Mine snatches into gear when you engage D and worse when into R, but not when it's cold. Once up and running she go's up and down through the 3 x gears no problem and kick down works ok

Am in process of checking everythingin the back end bushes RG's etc etc, for backlass, failing that it will have to be auto box refurb
