I wasnt aware, but you need to let insurance companies know about things like different exhaust bits and changes in alloy wheels etc etc

Speaking with the clubs insurers yesterday (who I use for all my cars), because it is not possible to buy the right tyre/speed rating for the TVR anymore and they asked about any other changes from original spec?

I told them about the different looking exhaust and that was refferred to underwriters and noted and asked them if they needed to know about the Stag having different wheels - and they did!

You may be aware or not bothered but I see no harm in being up-front about such things.

I listed absolutely everything, right down to the carpet colour being green...... they didn't care about the mods such as the ZF and the BMW brake servo, as long as they have been declared - which I think is jolly reasonable as when I fitted 17" alloys and a Type R rear spoiler to my Accord it made some companies not even quote, and then when I did get insurance it was £200 more than if it was standard.......

Same here, I advised my insurers (club scheme) of all my mods and they just acknowledged the email and there was no change to the premium.
