    Your ticker is going

Hi Guys & Gals, My hearing is not very good and I tend to leave the direction indicators on. Also I cannot see the warning light cluster as I drive with the Steering Column fully up and it is hidden behind my hand.
I have come up with the idea of mounting the warning light cluster in a cowl on top of the central speaker panel, the wiring will just about reach.
Has anyone tried this before? It seems a better solution than re designing the complete dashboard. Can anyone suggest where I can get a suitable instrument cowl.
I appreciate that another solution would be to get an extendable ear trumpet but that in itself presents other problems.
    À bientôtPeter

You could fit a warning sounder wired to the flasher relay...... simple fitment and less than a couple of quid to do....

Try doing a search on the forum, as this was covered 18 odd months ago....

I used to make these bleepers, I might even have one or two left if you want it? I have plenty of componenets, just no spare time to make any more.

I fitted one of Peter Howells (LD Parts) electronic flashers yesterday, and that works well with a very steady flash rate, also has a slightly louder click than normal ones. The standard flashers would run very slow then stop.

I bought one years ago for my first Stag, but cannot seem to get them any more.

Here are a couple of options for making them. I used the one on the left and it is fine.

Hi Guys & Gals, I will accept your advice and invest in an electronic flasher.

This however does not overcome the problem of my hand hiding the warning cluster. As no advice was forthcoming I have moved the warning cluster to a cowl housed in the central speaker recess. I will try and attach a photo.
