Mk1 Volt (Battery Condition) Gauge

Hi Everyone ...

I'm refurbishing my dash and have a problem. All the gauges are fine except the Volt gauge - a bit scruffy with a scratched background. I would like either to get another one or mine refurbed ...

Anyone got any contacts or have one sitting in a cupboard they'd like to swap for some old fashioned money?

Rimmers still seem to sell new ones but sit down before you check the price.

TrycontactingSpeedy Cables as they make Mk1 style instruments.They only have images with magnolia coloured dials on their site but they do them in black as well and may have different bezels. The volt meter is a slightly different design to originalthough.Cost about £30.

I expect you have checked out the ususal suppliers. I have just choked having looked at the Rimmer website. Part Number 150645, Mk1 Volts gauge £116 incl VAT with a £50 + VAT exchange surcharge! I assume this comes with a 22-caratgold-plated bezel :shock:.

You could try Martin Dimmick. He sells on Ebay as Justriumph. Or possibly Les Clark (LGC on Ebay). Both sell plenty of S/H Stag bits.

Had a look ... many thanks for this ... think I'll go far a simple solution to make them all match and get one of each of the smaller instruments- and it will be still less (well almost!) than the single instrument ...

Alan try Chris Witor or Earlpart who do 2000/2.5 etc which have same/simular guages. Chris sells S/H one for £7.50
