Had a problem on the last couple of outings with the throttle getting stuck on a very fast idle. Initally thought it was one of the various linkages on the carbs gunged up. Last week I took the carbs off, dismantled and cleaned up the butterfly linkages/spindles - still fast. This week I took the carbs off again and cleaned up the top return spring and spindle.
Decided togrease the throttle cable while I was fiddling, and when I pulled it through one of the strands had broke and become twisted inside the cable. All that messing with the carb linkages and it was a knackered throttle cable. At least a cheap fix!
