Soft Top Removal

I need to replace to zip on the rear window of the my soft top and assume that the only way to do this is to remove the soft top completely from the frame.

Has anyone got any advice about the removal and are the any articles on the forum describing this procedure.

Also can anyone recommend someone to then replace the zip, preferably in the north west / north wales area.

Removal and refitting of the cover takes quite a lot of work, but its mainly drilling out rivets and cleaning out the holes. Also lots of glue to stick the cover on. Make sure you get it back in exactly the same place.

There is an alternative: replace the zip using hand stitching while the cover is still on the frame. Its probably difficult to do well, but it should be quicker than taking the cover off.
