    STAG on Wheeler Dealer

Just been to the show today at the NEC brilliant show, I had a chat with Paul on the wheeler Dealer stand where they are building the Pilgrim Cobra. He came down to look at one of my Stags about 2 weeks ago with a view to buy it and restore it on the Wheeler Dealer show on the Discovery chanel.

To cut a long storey short they did not buy my car but they did buy a 1972 White Stag with 82000 miles on the clock with very good bodywork and it will be on the show in May 2010. He did not say what was needed to be done on the car only said that they have 2 weeks to make good what needs to be done.

They purchased the car for £3400.00 and Paul said when they have finished it they hope to get about £6000.00, cant wait to see it on the show.

    Catch you all later. Will

This is a good show. I have only found out about it from the S series edition a week or two ago. There was one on this afternoon about a Bentley. They did an amazing amount of work for £1800 profit.

Cheers for that Graham ! I missed the end and was wondering how much it fetched.

I was thinking it'd be nice to see a Stag on this show, hope they do it justice.

I know the bloke who owns the boday shop (R J Coachworks) who painted the Bentely and the Fiat 500

Mike Brewer owns a Volvo that they restored for him - i was thinking today that they should do a stag would also like to see them do a Rover P6 V8 or a P5B coupe as i like both of them and the old XJ6 Jags

It's a shame they don't do a proper restoration on a stag, as they did on the E Type and MGB, I think they guy was called Mark?? ...........

Wheeler Dealers is a good programme but without factoring in Ed's labour cost the restorationprices they quote are worthless - still always worth a watch, doing a BMW M3 this week.

Mark Evans. Top bloke, but too busy these days back at his day job as a Vet. He is the RSPCA's chief vet and was on the TV earlier this year regarding the Crufts controversy.

'Top Man' totally agree. Brilliant presenter made brilliant viewing - every one of them, even if you can sense the 'done for TV' aspect of it.

I think they produced severalseriescalled "A xxxx is born" - For 'xxxx' readCar; Plane etc. Lucky guy - building or rebuilding various mechanical devices in a clean workshop with lots of help when necessary and no rusted bolts etc - and then he gets paid to do it

the cobra that mark evan built was a good one as he did it in what was pretty much a double garage / lock up and only had basic tools

Edd choan on the other hand on wheeler dealers is a very talented guy and has built soem nice customs and weird creations like a street leag double bed for one
