    ING WARNING LIGHT(WHICH FUSE)

    Hi everyone,

was in the garage doing a bit on the stag this weekend, and I noticed that the ing warning light wasn't coming on , anyone know which fuse this works off , the car starts and runs ok , so it must be a fuse or the bulb, also which other things work off this fuse so I can check it's the fuse.

    regards

    Tony

I think I would start with the bulb.

I believe there is no fuse on this circuit it comes direct from alternator

When my light went out it was due to a bad connection on the alternator, a quick twiddle and it worked again. Bulb is worth checking first as its easier !

Hi, I fitted a new seal in the steering rack control unit this weekend (awkward and time consuming!), but when I filled up the steering pump and went to start the engine to bleed air out of the rack, I must have knocked apart the white plastic connector under the washer bottle, which runs from the alternator, and this resulted in no ignition light coming on - may be the problem.
          cheers,
          Peter

            that would do it that

there are two wires in that connector

            ignition sense and ignition light

              Cheers guys,

was messing around with that wiring under the water bottle, putting new clips that hold wiring to the body on , so that's a good place to start. Will not be able to have a look until the weekend, but thanks , would not have thought of that.

Had a look around the windscreen water bottle at the wiring , all looks ok had a fiddle with the wiring at the alternator, but the light stilldidn't come on so it must be the bulb, couldn'tget the car out of the garage at the weekend as it was throwing it down with rain, so will have a look when it dries up a bit, thanks for the help one again.

                  hi all,

took the dash apart to get to the ing light , and changed the bulb , but still no light, will have a good look when the weather gets a bit better, One point though , if that that not working , does it mean that the battery is not being charged?

                  thanks Tony

More offen or not this is where the problem will be, I have come across this on my own and other members cars.
