Removal of back seat back section any ideas???

Gent's any idea how you can remove the back seat back rest, tried to remove mine today and it won't budge, stopped before I broke something.



Lower part of seat come's out no problem just can't get vertical section to budge

Remove the 2 bolts holding it in?

You will see 2 metal uprights in them halfway down are 2 7/16 bolts.

Further to Stuart's advice, you need to erect the hood but leave the rear window section clipped-up. Thenlift the hood compartment lid and look at the back of the seat where you will find the two bolts he mentions.

Remove these and lift the seat back upwards where it will disengage from two lugs locating it in the metal uprights.

Lift the touraou:? tornootornauow:X Tonneaucover up (the bit that covers the hole the hood folds down into. There are two bolts that screw into the back rest about 6" in from either side - think you need a 7/16"AF spanner. Undo them, pull top of seat forward and lift.

Thanks guys get the drift will check it out tomorrow, was looking through the original parts cat and can now see the bolts that you describe
