Flocking?

I've just made a gauge pod to replace the dash top speaker grill, and was thinking of flocking it black.

Firstly I was thinking of a DIY kit from the likes of Frost, then did a search for a professional job, quite a few do it, for example:

I'll get my gauge pod done, but just thinking aloud, I wonder what the whole Stag dashboard would look like!

Will look good, which clocks will you have on there?. I remember my Cortina 1600GT, used to love the look of the clock pod on that.

Its a 3 gauge pod. A mixture of spare speaker grill, chopped down gauge pod, and epoxy filler!

I already have the three additional gauges, 2 of which I have had mounted under the dash for years, the third, an air fuel ratio meter, has just been sat in the top speaker dash without the grill.

So to supplement the original OEM gauges I have oil pressure, oil temperature, A/F ratio and a second water temperature gauge measuringthe off-side head water temp. No clock.

I reckon flocking's good inside glove boxes, parcel shelvesetc, but it wears so quickly I wouldn't want it on show. Love to see a pic though ! Martin.

Sukh, Ford have gone back to the gauge pod, my Focus ST has one with oil prees, oil temp and boost pressure!! I think it looks good, too!!
