Touch down!

Wefinally removed the project car fromits rotating jig today and is back down on its our four wheel for the first time since August 2008.

Lots more room in the garage now that the jig is residing in the back garden

First phot shows the jig removed, and the rear wheels on.

Nice one Bruce. After all the hassle you had sorting the paint out I should imagine you are quite happy now!

Mind you i bet it dosent take long to heat it up in there now the winter is here

I wouldnt mind living next door to you as it goes as youcould help me with my stag and visa vera

Thanks for the kind wordsIts a big milestone to get it back down on terra firma. The blue machine is starting to look like a car again

Hoping to get the engine and gearbox in over Christmas with a target of an MOT at Easter followed by a family holiday in Cornwall at the end of April with the Stag as the means of transport.

As regards the jig, a member of this forum has already expressed a desire to use it for their planned rebuild next year.

P.S. One lesson I learnt today is fit the macpherson struts before the lower wishbones and drag struts. Saves un-doing work:?
