I know what you mean, I was concerned when I fitted mine that the nut would only just get to the end of the thread and I was checking it frequently. I've had no trouble with it though and I've seen a fair few Stag's with the same hub fitted.

Hi Doug,
Is the the flat dish wooden one? If so, I've got one on mine and it fits fine. I wouldn't saw anything off until you've tried it on the car.
