Martin, i fitted some to my MGB GT with standard discs and they did make a difference. The pedal felt firmer, the brakes were better and they didnt throw out a load of brake dust like standard ones!!
I've got Tony Hart uprated pads(£55 set),not sure if they are the same as green/red stuff but theyfeel very positive and seem to balance with the rear discs that i have.
I have Greenstuff - little dust, take an age to bed in but bite like hell when they have!! I have never tried Redstuff, presumably they could be even better?
I have Green Stuff at the mo and looking to change due to wear, don't know whether to get them again or try Red Stuff. The green ones came with a bedding in coating, they were ace from day one, and very little dust. Martin.
Haven't tried Red ones, but have the green ones on my Spitfire and they coped very well with the Pyrenees in Spain this year - very little brake dust as well. Haven't tried them on the Stag yet as the existing pads are OK at the mo.
Martin, I don't know of anyone using Red Stuff pads, the differences over your current Green Stuff pads are described as less brake dust and longer life.
I'd check the price difference and think about style of driving to figure out whether it is worth the price premium.
If the red stuff pads are the racing sort I would avoid them. I used to use Ferodo DS11 racing pads on my V8 toledo years ago as they were the only thing that could cope with the heat. They were ok in the dry but with four people in the car on a wet day you had to leave an extra 50 yds to the car in front as it took them that far to get up to working temperature:shock::shock::shock:
