Can anyone identify this electronic ignition setup?

Hi folks - I appear to be fitted with electronic ignition but I have no idea what it is - can anyone help? Is it any good?

It's the Pirhana newtronic system.I have it fitted to mine, no problems as yet.
Alternative to Luminition.
I have the instructions somewhere, i'll post them when i find them.

Hi jpyke

You have a Newtronic Pirahna electronic ignition system . I had one on a 2.5PI for many years and it gave no trouble at all. Not sure if they are the best system but I certainly have no complaints about mine! I think they are made by Luminition now? Hope this helps.

It is a Newtronic system. Previously known as Piranha. I have a Piranha system which has been very good. Newtronic now owned by Luminition. Note that the Luminition system is not the same. The Piranha/Newtronic uses a different base plate avoiding the problems with the standard base plate.

Thanks everyone for your very helpful advice! Just gotta find a new coil to go with it and I think I'm fine on the ignition front.... Now back to the overheating :X
