Thought I was the only Stag in the close!

My neighbour, who's recently started a workshop in Berkhamsted has bought this off a local guy. It was in a front end accident a couple of years ago and it needs a new front end and some wings. He's planning to do it over the winter. The interior is good and the engine is clean. Has done two or three 24 hour round Britain reliability runs so must be reliable! Paint is flat and there's some flaking so be interesting to see what it ends up like.

In the few months he's been open I've seen a Morris 8, Rover 80 and a pre reg Mini in the workshop.

Wondering if there's any other concentrations of Stag's around? Giles from here is across the road, this Stag was from 1/2 mile up the road, and mine all very close to each other.

    Hello Des,

I will be in Tring/Herts. by the end of May 2010. I usually stay with friends in Bulbourne. How about a drink in the "Junction Arms" then? I would like to see your Stag, as there are only a few around in my area.

    Kind regards, Dieter.

One of my close neighbours has always liked my Stag. He is going to buy one that is currently being professionally restored so there will be two haring the same residential carpark in the Spring/Summer.

Who drives along the Peppard Road in Sonning Common at 0830 and 1730 in a green Stag every week day? We can hear the exhaust note indoors and can set our clock by it. My wife now comments before I say, listen to that Stag!

              Is this sad?

My next door neighbours Dad bought a Tahiti blue Stag in 1977.... It is a 1976 model.
When I moved in next door my neighbour (Jon) thought I had nicked his old mans motor as he still owns it!

When his old man saw mine he was all over it like a hawk, when I asked him about his Stag he said it was SORNed on his farm with 45K on the clock since new!

                        Hi Des/Dieter

Sounds a great idea - looking forward to it.

It was a friend of mines Stag that has appeared in your road Des - I have been out in it a number of times!

We will have to get John on here now he has one!
