I want to use the cigar lighter to connect a trickle charger but I have no cable attatched to the cigar lighter.
It may have something missing altogether as looking through the radio hole I can see what looks like a screw thread on the back of the cigar lighter but no sign of anything hanging at the back of the dash that resembles a screw threaded connector. Ive had a look with a mirror & there are 2 x black wires connected to the cigar lighter body plus a red/white from the lampholder that ends in a small inline connecter but thats it.
I can't see a spare purple to connect to the cigar lighter or a red/white to connect the lamp circuit to.
Does the cigar lighter have a screw on connector at the rear? Can anyone send me a picture of the cigar lighter so I can see what should be there?
I can pick a new feed up from the instrument lights for the lamp connection but I wonder where the original feed cable is? Does anyone know where the two cables I am looking for emerge from the loom?
How big should the cigar lighter cable be as I assume the element takes quite a bit of current?
