hardtop front plastic clips

Hi ,all can anyone give some advice on how to put the fixing clips on the hardtop front trim .I cannot see how the new plastic clips I have been sent fit in the chrome trim ,do you have to cut them, they seem to long? also which way round do they go any ideas .

Hi Paul

The fatter end fits inside the hole then tap the end that is sticking up so it gos inside the fatter end andmakes it to expand in the hole so it wont come out

Thanks for the info ,I have just tried it on a spare clip ,simple when you know how I could have spent days working that out.
