Where are you from? I am originally from Chorley in Lancashire, and Makinson is quite a common name in Chorley & the Wigan area. You never know - we might be related in some way?

I had a push bike - a "Rallye Blue Streak", until I had an argument with a car and it got wrote off (the bike - not the car). The real "Blue Streak" (our sojourn into the Space race in the 60s) also got wrote off - but for cost reasons. Only ever ridden a motorbike once, but I did not enjoy it.
Off to a local entertainment bar now to celebrate Xmas Eve - got a table reserved & there is a good singer on. Merry Xmas .

Knew Blackburn well in my younger days. Used to regularly visit a nightclub there (I think it was called Blackburn Casino), had tours round Lion brewery in Blackburn (very refreshing), and used to go to Ewood Park when Preston played Blackburn in a local Derby (I was a Preston supporter, and used to go to Deepdale to watch them in my Triumph Spitfire).

Even though I am from Blackburn, we moved from there in 76 to just outside Morecambe. That is where I now live.
