Well, no it has nothing to do with "The Vendee Globe" I don't know one end of a boat to the other but you are close - I live about 60 kms from where the Vendee Globe departs atSables d'Olonne!
No need to feel stupid - As I have now let you all know that I've owned my Stag since 1975 and I didn't know what the holes and plates in the floor were for! Now that could be classed as stupid or just plain ignorant!
Forgot to mention that I run a BnB and any Stag member interested in spending some time in the Vendee I'll give you preferential rates. Just contact me through the forum.
No Problem Mike - can it wait till tomorrow? If I can take picture before tomorrow I will.
I've got all myfront carpets out at the moment so it's easy to see, butyou'll need topeel back the carpet on the left hand side of the transmission tunnel (close to where the passenger's right foot would be) to get access.
Cheers
Julian
Ps Tovendee girl - do we always have to call you that or have you got a real name as well? - thanks for for alleviating my feeling of stupidity
As SWMBO has not arisen yet, I've managed to nip out and take the atteched picture - I then spent ages trying to reduce the resolution of the picture as it was too big to attach.
Note to Carl or whoever understands these things; Is it possible to alter the site so that you can save a draft of a message and not loose it all if anything goes wrong whilst you're writing it, like pictures being too big etc ? - which has happened to me several times ;(
Anyway, I don't know why the cutout in the sound deadening material doesn't match the actual panel - maybe it slipped whilst the car was in an oven - but I hope you can make it all out from the pic.
It's held in place by 4 pk screws, but even with these out, you'll need to gently lever the panel off asa bead of body mastic also holds it in place. You'll have to replace thatfor soundproofing and to preventwater ingress.
I have also been caught by loosing the text. If you highlight it all the control C (copy) you can paste it back on your next attempt. Trouble is remembering early enough

just use photobucket http://photobucket.com/ create a account, load your photo's there then paste a link. No more fiddling about trying to get the photo down to the correct size. And it's free
