Long and short Choke Knobs

My car has a single choke cable with a shortknob that looks to be fixed permanentlyonto the cable. This is presumably because itwas supplied with the holley kit or is a replacement for the twin cable. I dont like it as it doesnt look feel right so I want to change it for the correct long knob.

My question is are there single cables that have the long knob or will I have to buy the expensive twin cable?

Trivial I know but little things like that bother me! :?

i have the holley ,i still have original double cable ,but only one cableis used the other is redundant in dashboard !! your single cable maybe off a triumph 2000 perhaps ?but to answer your question ,i think it is as you said ,the expensive option !! or asecondhand one

I think most BL cars of Stag vintage would have a choke cable with a similar end to the Stag type; maybe some of these would do the trick?

The twin cable is too thin to move my holley choke so i have fitted the original knob to a single strand wire choke cablerather than multistrand and have also moved it to the heated rear window switch position which is a far straighter run for the cable .It is much much better now(dare i say perfect:P)and looks original except that it is on the better side for right hand drive.

Steve, I like that idea of moving the choke cable. Better for us Brits;Idislike leaning over so far unless of course I have female company!

Did the choke cable you used have the correct fitting for the knob or did you have to mod it to fit? Was the cable quite long?I would like to buy one of those cables if you could tell me where to get them? I might even stock some for the Weber kits

I trawled through ebay untill i found one that said it was a single wire cable ,then had to do some work on both the inner and outer to make it all work (some threading etc) but well worth the effort.
