    Front Seat Squab

Bought a Back Squab from Paddocks earlier this month to repair the drivers seat that had gone "soggy" on one side. The blooming thing is the wrong shape. Has anyone one else had experience of this? I'm assured by Paddocks that they have sold hundreds and all are ok.

Should I return this to Paddocks and buy the "five Peice" that Ithink I should have done, and as wasadvised over the forum. Or does anyone know a fitter in the Worcester area that can fit one of these all in one types.

Another 3 Hours wasted on a duff product.

Anyone interested in setting up an "ebay" type product evaluation for stag items.ie

    Back Squab Paddocks 40%

Not sure how it could be done.

Should have repaired the lawn mower instead.

A Happy and Good Rutting New Year to you all.

    Hi Mike,

Know what you mean. I had the same experience, although I bought them from another supplier in Herts. At least they admitted that the foam needed a lot of fettling to get it to fit, as they gave me my money back.

      Hi Mike,
I've fitted two seat backs from Paddocks, and assisted a friend to fit two (also from Paddocks) It doesn't get much easier the more you do, but the hard part is knowing how much to trim off, as the side bolsters are too long for the cover, but most covers fit differently!
I got there with a LOT of patience and many cups of tea, plus assistance from the missus - it's definitely a two man job.
I did the bases as well, which are considerably easier, and what a more comfortable ride ensues. Don't give up!!sany specific advice you need, please pm me.
      regards,
      Peter

Many thanks for that. My main concern is that there isn't enough foam around the seat lift catch. If I put some foam in there the vinyl doesn't reach back to the frame.

Maybe I'll forget the squab and just wear a parachute instead!

Mike, I put this question about a month ago. What is needed is an application that does all this for you. Also an honest, independant person to administer it. Have you any ideas, we could put it to the commitee!

BTW about the seat foams, the Alrdridge ones are good (if a bit expensive)but still need a bit of trimming; you just need to know where! I now use my own foam designs.

If you decide not to DIYI can do your seat foams for you if you want to send them to me.

I mentioned in another Post (Xmas wish list) that my drivers seat is in a poor state & that my wife has agreed to pay for its renovation by a nearby specialist. Have not had time to go there yet to see what sort of a job they can do - but when I do I will post some before & after pictures. I know Tenerife is a bit far for most of you to drive to get your seats fixed, but if they do a good job it could be a good run out and holiday for your Stags.!!
