Hi All

Last week I purchased a new stainless steel pipe to replace the old perforated steel one which runs along the top of the engine. Imagine my displeasure when I discovered metal swarf inside the new pipe:X. I don't think the water pump would have appreciated the swarf:shock:

So the motto of this story is "check items you purchase before fitting them to your car".

Some time ago, I fitted a capillary oil pressure gauge and the 'T' piece i bought to fit to the oil transfer housing had swarf inside it!
