Steve, oversize pistons usually have 020 etc stamped on the crown.

The tensioner is a long way out and something needs to be done. New chain at least, plus usually the crank sprocket is hooked and needs replacing.Check surfaces of all chain guides and tensioner nose; if heavily grooved then replace.

Thanks Chris ,Can't see the crown as i'm not taking the heads off .

You have just confirmed to me that i need to fit the new chains that i have had sitting on the shelf for 2 years (rolons) and all the other bits needed(Tony Hart kit).

      Cheers Steve

Decided to get the Iwis chains instead but i will still have to fit the new rolon tentioners if the renold ones fitted are too worn
