I purchased quite a few things from Amazon during the run up to Xmas and received my credit card bill a few days ago. There was a charge of £19.99 that I couldn't account for so queried this with them. Not an easy task as he have to either fax or post a copy of your credit card / bank statement (they recommend you don't email it as they can't guarantee the safety!). Anyway, transpires it was charged in error and I will receive a credit.
However, I was talking about it to a friend of mine and he had exactly the same problem! I may be cynical but if they're doing this on every account it's no wonder they're making huge profits as am sure there are many people out there who don't scrutinise their statements!
