Hi I hoticed this on the forum, this cars reg is very close to mine, it is out by a few digits, same ARW and K, my car is registered March 1972 and is a Mk1.
So my guess is the car is geniune although it does look a lot like a Mk2.

Yes the reg no is genuine and shows at DVLA registered Feb 1972 but I don't believe that the car is the original car. I reckon the ID from the '72 car has been switched onto a later Mk 2 car.

.......unless it was left lying around in a dealers for well over a year I can't understand this. Looks very Mk 1 to me...seats, clear glass, dash, grey badges, and the air box is very early Mk1......

When I was looking for a replacement Stag a couple of years ago Idrove a 'T' registered one that was actually 1974. It had spent its first few years in Hong Kong.
