Centre Console Removal

I read in the manual that it says to prise out the wood trim to start removing the console.

I've been prising everywhere 'til I'm blue in the face but nothing budges.

I'm sure I'm applying pressure / leverage in the wrong position where that black plastic moulding strip is.

Can anyone give me a tip or photo to show where I am supposed to prise and in what direction?

Hi Drew

Cold weather is your enemy! Firstly warm the plastic strip with a heat gun; then put a flat blade of metal on the wood to protect it; then insert a large screwdriver blade under the plastic and lever against the metalblade until the wood piece comes out.
