    Cltch release bearing

having removed my gearbox, I had a look at the clutch release bearing, as now and again I get a bit of a screeching noise coming from the gearbox area.

There is a bit of play in the bearing if you rock it top to bottom, backwards and forwards, should there be any?

There does not seem to be any harshness in the bearing at all.

Al what clutch are you using? ,my bearing from paddocks has been sent back and i'm waiting for a replacement because it felt a bit rough.I've just looked at the old one and it is perfect with no movement in any direction (except rotation). If i go with the new paddock bearing you are welcome to this one and i know it is very quiet.

      Cheers Steve

        Cheers Steve.

The clutch is Bork & Beck, so assume release bearing is all part of the same.
