    Choke Cables

Thought I would prophylaticallyreplace the choke cable whilst Ive got everything disassembled....

    - bought a Rimmers cable, which is identical to the one in the car (left one, with filled out choke symbol)

    - bought a Paddock's knob.

The Rimmers cable is OK but without knob. The original knob seems like it is bonded to the cable at a molecular level.

The Paddocks knob seems designed for a totally different cable type with a shaft like the other knobs (hex shaft with spring-loaded pin)

Can anyone take the entropy out of the situation?

    Cheers

    Drew

I thought all Stags (and their owners) had big knobs

Hi, the Stag choke cable uses a long knob so that it feels different and matches the HRW switch, what you've got is a mix of Stag and TR6, bit of research required here to get matched Stag ones. I suspect it's all down to what some (?) suppliers think they can get away with ! Martin.
