    Willing Learner !

    Hello everyone...

Bit of a long shot this.

I have loved Stags for years and am finally resolved to buy myself one for my 30th next year.

I want to learn a lot more about them and how to maintain them but can't find any part time mechanical courses in my area so I wondered if there was anyone near Weymouth who would like a bit of company when working on theirs?? I make a good cup of tea and a lovely carrot cake if that helps???

    Any takers?

    Thanks

    Suz

Hi Suz, welcome. do you drink pints ? If so, that combined with carrot cake and a love of Stags makes me your man, I've got my own bromide. . When you get closer to buying one, come back on here for a sensible reading list. Good luck, Martin.

                      G'day Suz,

Welcome to the forum from Down Under!

You might want to contact some of the "Stag specialists" in your area, they may be able to show you around and show you the basics of Stag maintenance. I remember Tony Hart used to run an occasional weekend workshop a few years back.

At least you wouldn't have to bribe them with carrot cake!

                      regards

                      Raoul

P.S. Happy Australia Day to all!

So you obviously haven't been reading in our playground for long, or your expectations for a sensible answer would have been much lower...

Read up on valve timing however.......

                          Welcome Suzie.

For local (female) help, try contacting Wendy Rees. She is Area Coordinator for Solent & Hampshire and often reads/contributes here.

BTW 'er indoors also makes a fantastic carrot cake. Marvellous cook (which explains my waistline!) including gluten-free (she is Coeliac) cakes, etc. But she is no use with a spanner and has no interest in the Stag :X:X

                              Hi Suzie

Good to hear from another younger and female member! I'm not sure any of our local members have any major work going on at the moment, but if you want to pop along to one of our meetings you'd be very welcome to come and say hello and pick any brains you can find! Details of our meetings are in the magazine, the next one is on Monday 1st February.

Hope to meet you soon, best of luck with the Stag hunt!

                              Wendy
