Mark 1 engine cooling system hoes and pipes

Hi All

Before Christmas I purchased a new set of cooling hoses and astainless steelheater pipe. Finally had chance to fit them to the engine today. I discovered that various of the new parts are different from the existing.

The stainless steel pipe is a different length and shap:?.

The two small bore hoses that connect to the water pump/thermostat housing are different shapes:?.

I am assuming that the parts I have been supplied with are for a Mark 2. Are the Mark 1 parts available or do I need to modify the engine setup?

Hi Bruce,
Looking at Rimmers catalogue those parts are different from Mk1 to Mk2.

Yes and no. The Rimmers catalogue shows the hoses to be different for early Mark 1's.

However, its shows the same pipe (218346) applying to all Stags but as my first photo shows, thats not the case.

Are you sure Bruce?
I am seeing part no.156754 as the mk1 metal pipe, or maybe I have had too many beers already??

Hi All

156754 is the other steel pipewhich connects to the water pump housing. The one I am talking about is 218346 which is the pipe that runs the length of the enginefor the heater.
