putting in electric aerial but nothing coming up
any recommendations for aerial or has anyone got a good one they want to sell
thanks
I fitted a couple I bought from Maplin to SWMBO's MX5 and My Landy 110 about 15 years ago. Nothing expensive. Both are still OK. The one on the MX5 gets used nearly every day. I just give it a spray and wipe with WD40 every 6 months or so. Just looked and Maplin don't seem to do them anymore but there are plenty on eBay.
Buy Car Styling Aerials and get the best deals at the lowest prices on eBay UK! Great Savings & Free Delivery / Collection on many items
This looks similar to the ones I got.
Fairly easy to wire in. Needs a permanent 12V supply - not ignition controlled and a single wire to the appropriate wire on the Radio (usually blue I think).
Just check the depth required to mount, as I recall the rear wing position on the Stag does not have a massive amount of depth and it may be a bit tight, I know it was in the MX5.

Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
yes that looks about the right price didn't fancy spending 80.00 on 1
spent enough money on the car already if you know what I mean
trying to save a bit now
cheers roger
I bought 1 from ebay. It was smaller than most offered and fitted great in the left side in the boot. Its fairly easy to run the power and antenna cables . Then l bought a new radio that s DAB and uses a small antenna that fits above the rearview mirror.
I think he meant into the search function......;-)

At that sort of money I think your taking a chance. What is it they say, "buy cheap buy twice".
If you do buy one you'll like this from the reviews :
"Easy to install
A compact aerial which fitted well behind boot trim on a Triumph Stag. Wiring instructions were just a diagram printed on outer box only. It was replacing a switched power aerial, so just needed a bit of thought about which wire to connect to back of radio. Works very smoothly and quietly."

Wise men ignore the advice of fools, but fools ignore the advice of wise men sigpic
I might buy one soon. Oh the joy of setting out and forgetting to put the aerial up. I do it just about every time
And the joy of lifting off the hardtop and getting to the end of the car and realising the aerial is still up.
At which point your wife says "I am going to drop it".

Oh dont I'm just in the process of buying a hardtop. Arghhhh
my areil is in a real stupid place I wont have the clearance at the bottom for a electric one
it sits just under he hard top window not even on the wing parallel to boot lid
may just have to get another manual one
don't fancy drilling holes
