Just removing the sound deadening "tar" mats and wondered why two areas were standing proud and not following the floorpan countours.
First one turned out to be a wire lying on the floorpan. Was also in primer red so was probably the wire used to suspend the floorpan from a washing line after priming. Never mind, just slap the bitumen pad on top of it. No one will notice (at least for the next 35 years!)
Second one was when the backing paper didn't peel off completely. Never mind, just slap the bitumen pad on with the backing paper still attached. No one will notice (at least for the next 35 years!)
Didn't Triumph want to compete against Mercedes with the Stag?
