    Door and Ignition Locks

I got more or less a key for every lock with my Mk2 (Ign. Doors, Boot, Glovebox, Fuel Filler)

How many keys should I have?

As all of the keys are well rounded off, I'd like to fit new barrels. On my old Escort I managed to recode all barrels to match by buying several new boot locks off eBay and collecting the individual tumblers. Can this be done on the Stag for doors/boot/ignition ?

As the basis would be plenty of salvaged tumblers, is there any Guru around who has a bin load of tumblers and offers this "service" ?

    Cheers

Should just be two keys; one for the doors, igniton and filler cap and another for the boot and glove box.

I changed the main four lock barrels when I first got my Stag as the previous owner had already bought a set from Rimmers in 1992

At some stage I'd like to get mybootand glove box on the same key and they're currently different.

Just had a flick through the old receipts; The locks were bought from Rimmers part no RS1192 £25 in 1992

I used a company called London East Security Centre to rebuild the ignition lock in 1998 as I struggled to get it back to together again I seem to remember they were used by Practical Classics on one of their project cars which was how I found there name.

http://www.londoneastsecuritycentre.com/is their website but I've no idea if they still do car locks
